Gareth Morgan – Chair

Gareth MorganGareth joined our Board of Trustees in September 2012. Gareth worked for 35 years at Board level for a major US Multinational Pharmaceutical Company.  Over time many roles were undertaken which required skills in finance, people management, change management and regulatory authorities.

He has a passion for music and has performed a piano concerto in public, musical tastes are on a spectrum between Charlie Parker, Led Zeppelin and Rachmaninov.  His other passion is Rugby, he is married with four children.

Martin Palethorpe – Vice Chair

Martin Palethorpe

Founder of The Pragma Group, Martin is a highly experienced Executive Coach and Organisational Consultant. He’s been working in performance, culture and organisational development for the last 16 years, from entrepreneurial start-ups to FTSE 100 organisations. He has a deep-rooted passion for advising & challenging the UK’s top leaders to develop themselves and their organisations to maximise long-term performance.

He’s also co-founder of the UK Values Alliance. Martin writes regularly for various business magazines including Management Today.

Martin is also a part-time adventurer. He’s cycled the length of Britain twice, raced to the North Pole, and run across the Gobi and Sahara deserts.

John Natt – Treasurer

John is a partner in Wilkins Kennedy Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors, a top twenty firm of accountants. John acts for a wide variety of owner managed businesses providing accounting, tax , audit, advisory and transactions services.  His wider responsibilities within the firm also involve him in sitting on the firms Audit and IT Committees.John Natt

John’s strong financial background and contacts within the local business community will be of great benefit to the Board of  Trustees.  Before joining the Trustee group John has been involved in raising funds for the Rainbow Centre over a number of years via his Rotary membership and on hearing that new board members were needed  he was delighted to be able to take on a trustee role .

In his spare time John enjoys listening to a wide range of music and  is a keen amateur photographer.  John is married with two grown up sons.

Paula Barnes – Trustee

Paula Barnes

Paula joined our Board of Trustees in January 2014. She is a partner at Moore Blatch Solicitors in the firm’s community care and public law team, providing a range of services designed to meet the needs of  adults, children and their carers with health and social care needs.  In addition to  community care practice,  Paula remains a member of the clinical negligence team having undertaken clinical negligence for more than 20 years.

Alice Snell – Trustee

Alice Snell Alice has a young son who has been attending the Rainbow Centre for a number of years, transitioning from the Parent and Child Group to the Nursery and he is now attending the Saturday Club.

She is currently a full-time Mummy to 3 children and also helps with the family business running a wedding venue and holiday cottage. Prior to increasing family commitments,  Alice had a career in Human Resources and worked in both industry and consulting for 15 years.

Paul Sams – Trustee

Paul Sams is Partner of leading law firm Eric Robinson Solicitors and heads up one of the largest conveyancing teams in Hampshire. His legal knowledge, expertise and experience of property transactions, development, and contacts in the region’s business community is exceptional and makes him a great asset to The Rainbow Centre’s Board of Trustees.Paul Sams (3)

Aside from work, Paul is father to twin boys,  ‘To be completely honest, it did come as rather a shock to my wife and I when we discovered we were starting our family with two children at once. Though it has been demanding at times, parenting my children has been the most rewarding experience of my life.  I can empathise with parents who are presented with challenges they were not expecting, and are in need of guidance, support and someone who can both listen to them and teach them new skills.  The Rainbow Centre offers an opportunity to children and others that have medical conditions that can make life very challenging.  That is why I wanted to get involved with The Rainbow Centre and why I was so honoured to be asked to be a Trustee of such a fantastic facility for both the children it works with and the parents who care for them.’ 

Stewart Lambert – Trustee

Stewart is a partner at south coast accountants James Cowper.  He specialises in corporate finance which involves the buying and selling businesses and raising funding for clients.  He is also a non-executive director for 3 companies providing strategic stewart-lambert3advice, challenging the operational plans and acting as a mentor to the executive directors. Married with two children, when he gets some spare time (which is quite rare!) he will often be found walking/cycling around the Hampshire countryside or finding a hill/mountain to climb!


Iain Grant – Trustee

Iain GrantIain is currently one of the directors and co-founders of No Fuss Bus LTD. The company specialises in organising low-priced ski transfers to and from Geneva Airport.

With over 15 years’ experience working in various I.T environments Iain says  “I have found working in business, computing and analytical roles throughout the years has aided in setting up a successful enterprise. I am currently working with The Rainbow Centre to assist with their 3 year strategy, review their I.T systems and processes. I am honored to be a member of The Rainbow Centre’s board of trustees.

Outside of the work environment Iain participates in a badminton league and plays regularly. He also enjoys table tennis, tennis, skiing, cycling, swimming, golf, travelling, films and car track days. He has a great passion for music and plays the guitar.
