POSTER for webRGBThe Rainbow Centre, Fareham would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in their community who rallied around to save the centre from closure. At the open day, the Centre will showcase their unique Conductive Education services the community helped save, and mark the success of the campaign with a fantastic Celebration Open Day.

Families visiting the centre at Palmerston Drive, Fareham on Saturday 21st June can take part in a host of fun activities ideal for all ages between 12noon and 4pm. Many local businesses are providing their services ‘free of charge’ to contribute to the Centre’s celebrations towards a secure future. Things to see and do will include:
Laserquest arena,  Jungle Fun Playbus, Hampshire Fire Engine, Pimms Bar, Strawberries and cream, Live Entertainment, Facepainting, Craft activities including Pebble Painting,  Panning for gold and gems, Dance Demonstrations, BBQ + Nando’s Chicken Wings Wagon, Women’s Institute Cake and Tea Stall,  Canine Partners demonstration and much more

The Mayors of Fareham and Gosport will attend the Celebration Open Day to show their support for the centre, amongst other distinguished supporters of the charity including Councillor Susan Bayford, Mayor of Fareham in 2013-14, who will present a cheque from her Mayoral fundraising in support of the Centre’s Adult Service.
Centre Director, Lara Bull says: “We have been incredibly moved by all the support we have received both from individuals and local businesses. Even now people are continuing to donate and arrange fundraising events with everything from cycling the length of Hadrian’s Wall to sky diving, a Hedge End Club running relay here at the centre on 26th July  to cake sales and dress down “rainbow” days. We continue to build on the success of our appeal and our Open Day is a wonderful opportunity to meet all those who have been so kind to support our work.”
