There are so many ways in which the community can help The Rainbow Centre raise the funds it needs, have a lot of fun, show young people that they can make a difference and introduce and build skills and confidence for those who run the event and those who participate.
Here are some of the people that have helped us recently
Here’s some of our fantastic fundraisers – Sarah Gosling (right) and friend Tracey (left) that took part in this year’s Colour Me Happy Run at Lakeside North Harbour. They sported all the colours of the rainbow as they were splashed with an array of paints whilst running the 3k or 6k course. A special thank you to Sarah, Nadia Ruiz and Libby Watts who also ran for Rainbow.
Sara Frampton and Karen Blanchard went the extra mile (180 to be precise) by cycling along Hadrian’s Wall. Their hilly challenge took them a few days of cycling against the wind and they managed to raise over £1682.52. Well done Sara and Karen and thank you so much from everyone at Rainbow!
Our very own Ceri Winfield and friend, Neil Churcher, raised over £200 in sponsorship at the New Forest Cycle Ride.
They managed to complete the 50 mile challenge in 4 hrs 37 mins! Congratulations and thank you from the Rainbow Team.
Great t-shirts (even if we say so ourselves).
10,000ft is the exact height that Laura Swallow from Premier Marina’s went to recently to raise money for The Rainbow Centre. Laura did a tandem skydive at Go Skydive in Salisbury, and raised just over £400! She described the experience as “amazing!” and here’s the photo to prove it. Well done Laura and thank you so much for your support.
If you’re brave enough and would like to do a tandem skydive for Rainbow, please send your enquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org
