Sixty Four players attended the event hosted at the beautiful Cowdray Park Golf Course, raising a fantastic £8,516.

Local businesses showed their support to the centre by entering teams of four into the sell-out tournament. Despite a challenging course, the teams remained in good spirits coming off the course with smiling faces ready for their lunch.

Ann Stuart, Events Fundraiser at The Rainbow Centre, said: “We really enjoyed our charity golf championship this year, not least being able to visit the teams out on the course on a Cowdray Park Golf Buggy!   Events like the golf day offer a fantastic opportunity to spend time with our supporters who are generous to join us to take part in events like these. Their valuable contributions will enable us to continue providing our services to the community and beyond.”

“The Rainbow Centre would like to extend their congratulations to the winning team  ‘Badgers Set’ captained by Alan Cornick who came first in the championship with a score of 85 points. Well done Lloyd Mags who won ‘Longest Drive’ and Alan Cornick who got ‘Nearest to the Pin’.  Second team place was won by Com Serves Dream Team, captained by Richard Cooper closely followed by TJ Transport.

After their game, companies generously donated money in the charity’s auction and raffle.  All funds raised from the charity Golf Day will contribute to the charity’s running costs, the charity helps 48 children and 43 adults with neurological disorders by teaching conductive education needs to raise over £500,000 per year to keep running.
