History of the Rainbow Centre - The Pot of Gold Appeal

In 18 months between 2004 and 2005 the Pot of Gold Appeal raised over £1,000,000.

8 influential people were recruited as patrons of the appeal - including the Bishop of Portsmouth.

16 strategic supporters were recruited - including the Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire.

12 major trusts were identified whose objects fitted the project criteria. Successful networking to these trusts was achieved via Patrons and supporters.

Substantial gifts pledged by four of these trusts.

4 local philanthropists donated £365,000

The dream of a permanent home became a reality and the Bradbury Building was conceived.
