Flora London Marathon 2005

We had five runners raising money for us in this year's marathon. They all completed the course.

CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU TO ALL OF THEM
Caroline Street -  4h 23m 13s
Caroline, age 47, has been raising funds for the Rainbow Centre for the last 10 years. Stubbington Green Runners first introduced Caroline to the Rainbow Centre. Since then she has taken part in triathlons, marathons and cycle challenges to help raise funds. The current goal is the London Marathon on 17th April.

When not taking part in sporting activities, Caroline works at World Class International's offices in Totton and Denmead as a system integration consultant. If you would like to support Caroline in raising funds please visit http://www.justgiving.com/carolinestreet

Ted Shaw - 4h 00m 43s (first London Marathon)
Ted is 38 years old and is married to Karen. They have two children, Jessica (9) and Matthew (6).

Ted manages an engineering training company which is part of the VT Group. His main hobby is karate though naturally, latterly he says he's "been running quite a lot"!

When he's not running he's a school governor. His final quote - "... and did I mention that I'm running a lot"!!!

Steve Jackson - 4h 37m 59s (first London Marathon)
Steve is 29 years old and is maried to Adella. They have one child, Evie aged 2.

He says his one ambition in life is to run a full marathon before he is 30. A case of "this year or never"! To achieve this goal he has now been running for a full three months!

His philosophy - "Who says you have to be young, fit or able. Let's have some fun, compete and raise money for charity in the process"!

Latest news! - after finishing and calling his wife, guess who has said she wants to do it with him in 2006?

Also running for the Rainbow Centre:

Paul Thompson - 3h 51m 38s
Richard Derham - 4h 07m 55s

At the finish ....
Some struggled (not one of ours)!
Some celebrated
Some sat
Some ate! For others - a hug and
congratulations from Helen.
