The Great South Runners of 2011

A total of 24 fit and hearty Rainbow supporters took part in the Great South Run on Sunday raising thousands of pounds for the Centre. Despite the wind and drizzle, everyone kept smiling (well, almost everyone) and all lived to tell the tale of record times – Ben Larkin 1hr 14mins; hitting ‘the wall’ at mile eight – Liam Pryce-Jones 1hr 40; painful knees – nearly everyone; and intrepid children in the Mini South Run on Saturday – Kiera Morgan, 3, and Eryn Tate, 8.

The Rainbow cheer point was based outside The Royal Beach Hotel, at mile 6, so a big thank you to the hotel staff for their hospitality.

Everyone at The Centre was delighted that so many people chose to run for Rainbow and look forward to seeing everyone at the Centre in a few weeks for a congratulatory lunch and photographs with the children.

There are lots of photographs in the gallery and do check out our facebook page www.facebook.com/therainbowcentre

Well done everyone. Thank you for your absolutely fantastic support and see you next year!
