Welcome to the Rainbow Centre
Specialists in conductive education helping children with Cerebral Palsy throughout the South of England.
|
This service is designed to meet the needs of school aged children who have a dual placement attending their local mainstream or special needs school as well as The Rainbow Centre.
These children join the Nursery Group for some of their session but some split away for part of the day for more age-appropriate activities depending on their level of ability. Regular review meetings and reciprocal visits are carried out according to our agreed plan of transition. |
|
Aims
The session aims to:
Create a happy and secure environment for children in order to enjoy learning.
Help families to understand their child's particular needs.
Promote independence, social and daily living skills in order to become an active member of the school.
Liaise with other professionals by regular review meetings and reciprocal visits.
Develop acceptable age appropriate behaviour.
Promote both physical and cognitive skills enabling children to have access to the National Curriculum in their school.
|
Attendance
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10.00am to 3.00pm.
Wednesday and Friday 10.00am to 12.30am.
