Abseilers raise money for The Rainbow Centre

On a glorious sunny Sunday in October at the Civic Centre Building in Guildhall Square, Portsmouth, some 40 supporters of the Rainbow Centre some as young as 10 years old took part in a  sponsored Abseil organised in partnership with Kidney Research.  The abseilers were joined by the MP for Portsmouth North, Penny Mordaunt who overcame her fear of heights to take the plunge and the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor Fred Jonas was present to lend his support to the fantastic efforts of all present. “Its been an amazing day. I’m overwhelmed by the amount of sponsorship that everyone has raised and the bravery of all who took part.” Said Jo White Events Organiser, “ We’ll definitely be doing another one next year and we’ll find an even taller building!”
