What a day – 1,300 runners completed a difficult, hilly course around Basingstoke’s beautiful countryside in near ‘heat wave’ conditions on October 2nd for Basingstoke’s first half marathon. Supporters in the War Memorial Park enjoyed ice creams, a bouncy castle and hospitality marquee, then cheered them all back to the finishing line. Pictured is Rainbow Centre CEO Ian Piper with some of the 50 ‘Team Phillips’ runners, all of whom were raising money for The Centre.
