Coopervision’s Rainbow Day Raises £2,276

Huge congratulations to our wonderful supporters at Coopervision Delta Park who’s Rainbow Day on 30th September raised a magnificent £2,276 for The Centre!

The Day was actually kicked off by the Night Shift who put their own spin on events and held a ‘Wild West’ evening. There were some excellent costumes on show and the staff set up their own canteen serving Tex Mex food!!

Most of the events lasted throughout the day with staff given time off from their working day to participate. This also had the benefit of everyone interacting and getting to meet people and see parts of Delta Park that they wouldn’t do in the course of a normal days work.

Each department at Delta Park had to arrange an event or activity that all the staff could take part in if they wished. These included, amongst others, 10 pin bowling, beat the goalie, Wii zone, crazy golf, cake stalls and pick ‘n’ mix trollies. Staff were encouraged to wear fancy dress or colourful clothing with prizes on offer for the best dressed.

Coopervision Delta Park Staff Forum member Doug Pollard was delighted with the response and the result! He said: “In the past staff at Coopervision Delta Park have held ‘Pink Days’ in aid of breat cancer but we hadn’t held one for some years and with the steadily growing support for the Family Fun Days, the Staff Forum felt we should hold a ‘Rainbow Day’ with all monies raised going to our supported charity the Rainbow Centre. All in all the day was a fantastic success with just over £2,276 raised on the day”.
