PRESS RELEASE – MONDAY 3RD AUGUST 2015

The Rainbow Centre is delighted to announce the promotion of its Centre Director, Lara Bull, to the position of Chief Executive.

The Rainbow Centre is the only facility in the Solent region helping children with cerebral palsy and adults affected by Parkinson’s, MS, a stroke or a head injury to lead more independent lives using Conductive Education. Conductive Education is a unique system of learning which is effective in training undamaged parts of the brain to take control of motor functions previously managed by the areas of the brain which no longer work. The Centre is based in Fareham near Portsmouth and attracts adults and children from all over Hampshire and West Sussex and as far afield as Dorset, Surrey and Berkshire.

Lara New CEOLara originally joined the Centre as its Interim Business Manager in 2012 and has worked hard with the Board of Trustees and all the Centre staff to come through an extremely challenging period in the charity’s history.

Having just celebrated its 25th Anniversary, The Rainbow Centre’s future is now a good deal more secure.  The Centre has been able to expand its services for both children and adults and is exploring exciting new ways to deliver their service to even more people who could benefit from this life changing system of learning.
