Round-up of fund raising for the Rainbow Centre

Solent Mobility Logo cmykTwo cheques totalling £930 were handed over to a delighted team of staff at the Rainbow Centre in Fareham, the total raised by Lee Business Association and Simon Kelly, a mobility adviser for Solent Mobility Centre, on the High Street at Lee.

The Rainbow Centre is the chosen charity for the Solent Mobility Centre  an independent family run business, with a large showroom of mobility aids, on the High Street, at Lee-on-the-Solent.

During 2014, a number of events were held in Lee, plus an individual sponsorship challenge, a sponsored slim.

Simon Kelly, a mobility adviser for Solent Mobility raised £230 for the charity loosing 12lbs in just one month, he said: “I was inspired to do something for the charity, as they work so hard and are so dedicated to helping adults and children in their care.”

The Rainbow Centre’s, Ann Stuart, events fundraiser, said; “We are so grateful for all the help we have had from Lee businesses, we really appreciate all their hard work and team effort in pooling their resources to raise funds.  Solent Mobility staff have supported us for more than two years now, which has been amazing for us.”Solent Mobility

Debbie Watts, a director at Solent Mobility said: “As chair of the Lee Business Association, the businesses’ in Lee work closely with the Residents Association and the community to work together in raising funds for good causes throughout the year.

“It’s a way for all our businesses to give something back to the communities, who buy local and shop local and keep our business thriving on the High Street at Lee.”
