The relationship with Steve Jackson started some nine years ago when Steve was in the Navy, stationed at HMS Collingwood and ran his first London Marathon for The Rainbow Centre. Following several visits to The Centre, Steve pledged to support our work whenever he could. He ran a second London Marathon, again raising substantial cash and then started a fledgling company, pledging to support us through donating some of his company’s profits. Three years ago Steve and his co-director wife, Adella, were able to donate a very welcome £1,100. This Christmas, Steve and Adella brought some of their team to see the work we do and donated an amazing £9,500. The cheque was presented to Helen Somerset How who was overwhelmed by the amount. Helen says “ I was delighted when I knew Steve and Adella were visiting, even more so when I learned that their business was doing so well in this difficult economic climate and they were still able to keep their original pledge of support. We enjoyed a lovely morning with the team and I’m so pleased to hear of their growth and success – for us as well as for them!”
